CELEBRATION AND SOLIDARITY FOR OAXACA AND ATENCO'S POLITICAL PRISONERS
Friday, February 2nd, 6pm
Station 40: 3030B. 16th St, near Mission BART SF
Donation: $5.00, (no one turned away for lack of funds).
Collection to be sent to both Oaxaca and Atenco to help release political
prisoners who are being tortured and killed.
Music and spoken word, featuring MamaCoatl and los Rumberos del Barrio
Report back from the recent international Zapatista gathering in Chiapas,
from Alejandro Reyes, member of the Zapatista Ramona Collective and Radio
Zapatista.
Independent journalist and photographer Barucha Calamity Peller will
report back on the situation of political prisoners in Oaxaca.
Luis Herrera, immigrant rights activist, will speak about the political
prisoners from Atenco.
Short films on both Atenco and Oaxaca,
Vegetarian dinner, drinks and more…

Some friends and I threw a Zap benefit in Seattle about two weeks ago. You should PM me sometime, I'd like to see what your group is all about (beyond the obvious). We are trying to network with people around the country on this cause!
